Pictures: ICRISAT campus

ICRISAT staff coming in on buses in the morning to work

One of the truck fleets that take field workers out to the agriculture area.
The grey building in the background is where all the seed is brought in and sorted. It is an enormous operation.
Bike parking . Bikes outnumber cars 7 to 1 on campus.
 Various department buildings
The street I walk down every morning to get to AVRDC- The World Vegetable Center
 Read the sign

My hall mate walking off to do some field work. He is a very nice person.
Field workers having their breakfast before heading out to the fields for the day.
This is looking towards the south part of campus. Total acres owned by ICRISAT approx. 3,500
Farm implements. Forget the pitch forget, and grab a tractor!!!

The housing unit I am in.
The main ICRISAT building. The dinning hall is on the left here.

A courtyard behind the main building
A god that is worshiped here on campus....I think, don't quote me on it.
Not sure what this is but it looks important

The extremely long corridor to all of the labs. Work that fat right off!!!!
This is where things I don't understand happen but it is incredible nonetheless.
The dinning hall for local Indians. I say that because the food is so "HOT"!!!!! Foreigners can't handle it.

 My dream truck.

 AVRDC plot
These are demonstration home garden plots. It is amazing how much food can be grown on such a small pieces of land.

 Home Gardens

A net house to prevent yield losses due to insect pests and to prevent cross pollination with other crops

Taking a tour of all the Agriculture fields. There are really cool ruins throughout the campus!!!

These goats are being fed to see what type of feed regiment most efficently maximizes the goats nutrition and development. They are kept in these pins for 6 months= eat, sleep, and well.. you know. It is kind of sad but their sacrifice will allow for millions to prosper.

A temple inside a banyon tree (if that is how you spell it)
Aqil, a staff member at AVRDC. A very nice guy. He likes to fish Graham.
Kumar and I. I will be working closely with Kumar for the next 3 months
Kumar preying in the temple, inside a tree......WHAT!!!!!
At these temples you must take of your shoes before you can step onto the premises.
